QUETTA: The Balochistan cabinet on Monday approved Balochistan Security of Vulnerable Establishment Act, 2024, under which efforts of various security agencies would be coordinated to restore peace and order in the province.

The cabinet condemned Saturday’s suicide attack on the Quetta Railway Station which left 26 people dead and 62 others injured and pledged to combat such acts of terrorism with full strength and utilising all resources.

It offered prayers for victims and expressed sympathies with the bereaved families.

Meanwhile, the national flag was flown at half-mast on all government buildings across the province, as the Balochistan government had declared three days of mourning for the tragic incident, which also left 62 people injured.
