KARACHI: Illegal immigrants held

KARACHI, April 7: The Pakistan Coast Guards have taken into custody 79 illegal immigrants including 51 Afghans on charge of illegal border crossing from coastal highway to Kumb and Mand Bullo on the Pakistan-Iran border.

The PCG officials during night patrolling apprehended 79 illegal immigrants from different vehicles along the coastal and RCD highways, a statement said on Friday.

These illegal immigrants include 51 Afghans and 28 Pakistanis.

They were detained from Kumb and Mand Bullo on the Pakistan-Iran border. They were planning to go to the European countries.

Further investigation is in progress by the PCG Special Interrogation Team after which these illegal immigrants will be handed over to the FIA immigration authorities.—PPI
