Israeli military says rocket barrage fired at northern Israel

About 15 rockets have been fired from southern Lebanon towards northern Israel in recent hours, according to the Israeli military.

According to Al Jazeera, rocket sirens were activated in the coastal city of Acre and the surrounding communities in the northwest of Israel. Some of the rockets were intercepted, while others landed in Israel, according to the military.

The Israeli air force also intercepted an unmanned aerial vehicle off the coast of northern Israel overnight, according to the announcement.

There have been no reports of injuries or damage in either incident.
