NAROWAL: A suspect wanted by police in around two dozen criminal cases on Thursday shot his wife and mother-in-law dead over a domestic dispute at Paki Kotli village of Sialkot.

As per police, Abdul Haq, resident of Adha tehsil, Daska, in his complaint said his sister, Zubia Bibi, a resident of Paki Kotli village, married her daughter Naila Bibi to one Bilal.

He said Bilal had a dispute with his wife and mother-in-law over some domestic issue.

On Thursday, he said, his sister Zubia and some other family members were present in her house, when Bilal and an unidentified man barged in carrying weapons.

He said the suspects opened indiscriminate fire, killing Zubia and her daughter Naila on the spot. He said others present in the house remained safe.

After the firing, the suspects fled the scene brandishing weapons.

On being informed of double murder, a heavy contingent of local police reached the spot.

Sialkot Saddar police have registered an FIR against Bilal, Adeel and their unknown accomplice on the complaint of deceased Zubia Bibi’s brother, under Section 302/34 of the PPC.
