GWADAR: Pakistan Coast Guards conducted successful operations in various parts of Balochistan, seizing a large quantity of weapons, alcohol and drugs, while arresting two suspects.

According to a spokesperson, the operations were based on intelligence reports. In the Musa Goth area of Gwadar, the Coast Guards recovered 226 Glock pistols with magazines, 34 Beretta pistols with magazines, 145 30-bore pistols, 140 spare 30-bore magazines, and 324 spare Glock magazines.

The recovered weapons are suspected to be intended for use in terrorist activities, and further investigations are underway, according to the spokesperson.

In another operation in the coastal area of Gadani, authorities seized 959 bottles of foreign liquor and 2,203 cans of beer.

In a separate operation in Gwadar, 332 kilograms of hashish were recovered.

In Winder and Uthal, 44.5 kilograms of heroin were discovered hidden in a suspicious house and nearby bushes. Two suspects were arrested.

The estimated value of the seized alcohol and drugs in the international market is approximately Rs60 million.

The spokesperson said the Coast Guards remained committed to combating drug trafficking and smuggling, vowing to continue their efforts to rid society of illegal weapons and narcotics.
