LAHORE: The Punjab Police deployed 55,000 personnel to provide security to 1,581 gatherings, 2,467 processions and rallies on the Eid-i-Miladun Nabi across the province.

IGP Dr Usman Anwar chaired a meeting at the Central Police Office here on Monday and approved the security plan for the occasion. All regional and district police officers participated through a video link.

In Lahore, 255 processions and 225 Milad gatherings will take place regarding Eid Milad celebrations where more than 10,000 officers, personnel and volunteers will be on security duty.
