PM to launch gas supply to Kasur

KASUR, April 1: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz will launch Sui gas supply to the town on Sunday (today) during his visit to the district. According to official sources, the prime minister will inaugurate gas supply at Kot Radha Kishan and later address a public meeting at Sutluj Stadium at Chunnian which will also be attended by parliamentarians, local body members and the workers of the PML. He will also inaugurate Sui gas supply to the area.

The prime minister will also announce new development projects for the three tehsils of the district.

Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi, along with several provincial ministers, will also accompany the prime minister during his visits to Kot Radha Kishan and Chunnian.

DEATH AWARDED: Additional District and Sessions Judge Khalid Bashir awarded death on two counts and Rs0.1 million fine in a murder case here on Saturday.

Accused Nawaz, along with his four accomplices, had shot dead Asad Khan and Amir Khan, sons of Ashraf, over old enmity. Accused Yayha, Ishaq, Javid and Yaqoob were POs in this case, while Yaqoob had already been murdered.

In case of default, the accused will have to serve six-month term in prison.

The complainant Ashraf and his son were shot dead on the court premises a couple of months ago.
