SUKKUR: Three men, among them a father and his son, were killed when a group of over 20 armed men attacked a family in Haji Mohammad Ismail Chohan village within the limits of Tamachani police station in Bagarji town, Sukkur district, at midnight of Tuesday and Wednesday.

Villagers said that the assailants allegedly belonging to Jatoi clan opened indiscriminate fire on people of Chohan community. Qadir Bakhsh Chohan and his son Azizullah died on the spot and their relative Mushtaq Chohan sustained critical gunshot wounds. He died later at hospital, they said.

The villagers believed the attack was carried out by notorious outlaw Rajib Jatoi, who had threatened Chohan community some time ago of dire consequences for tipping off police about the presence of two of his gang members in the village. Police had later gunned down the wanted Jatoi outlaws in Haji Muhammad Ismail Chohan village.
