RAWALPINDI, Feb 4: Time has come to develop Rawalpindi into a model city, the district Nazim, Raja Tariq Kiani, said on Monday.

He was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of ‘Eminent Citizen Board’.

The Board has been formed for the development of the city on self-help basis under the guidance of District Nazim Rawalpindi Raja Tariq Kiani. The Board will collect funds and supervise the developmental projects in the city.

Mr Kiani said the deputy commissioners would be the conveners of the Board and all members would be free to give suggestions for all developmental projects.

He said meetings would be held to review the performance and problems of the Board.

The participants appreciated the hard work of the district Nazim and offered their support in this regard.—PPI
