SWABI: A man along with his friend was killed over a family dispute in Yar Hussain village here on Tuesday, the police said.

Mohammad Shahab, a resident of Jalbai village, reported to the Yar Hussain police that he along with his 21-year-old brother, Jalal Khan and his 20-year-old friend, Mohammad Adnan, was in the house of one of his relatives when someone called Jalal on his mobile phone, telling him to come to a house situated in the vicinity.

He said Jalal and his friend went to the house. He said on hearing loud arguments between them he also went there and found that Asif Khan and Baswar Khan of Jalbai village and Shahzad Khan of Yar Hussain were present there holding firearms and abusing Jalal and his friend.

The complainant said after sometime, they opened fire, killing his brother on the spot, and injuring Adnan, who later succumbed to his injuries in the Yar Hussain Hospital.

The police registered an FIR and started further investigation. Also on Tuesday, a man allegedly killed his son in Tordher village of Chota Lahor tehsil, the police said.

The police said the deceased, Hanif Islam used to brawl with his father, Farooq Islam.

They said Farooq opened fire on his son when he refused his orders to leave the house.

The Tordher police registered an FIR against him.

Meanwhile, a man was found dead near a mosque in Gar Munara village.

Malik Rehman, a resident Gar Munara village, reported to the Zaida police that he was informed by someone that body of his son, Shamsur Rahman, was lying near the village’s mosque. He said his son was killed with a firearm.

The complainant said they had no enmity with anyone.

The police registered an FIR against unidentified assailant(s) and started an investigation.
