KHAIRPUR, Feb 4: A short course on human rights has been planned for the police officers of various ranks in Khairpur district.

The course has been designed with the objective to create awareness about the fundamental rights of citizens among the police.

Senior teachers of the Shah Abdul Latif University will deliver lectures highlighting rights of accused, women and minors. The services of the prominent lawyers and human rights activists have been acquired to train the policemen about legal and constitutional obligations of basic rights and possible implications in case of violations.
