Woman, two children kidnapped

SUKKUR, March 27: Police booked 13 people following the kidnapping of a woman and her two children in the Handyari village near Thari Mir Wah on Sunday night. A group of armed people torched the house of Abdul Rehman Dasti last night and when inmates came out of the house, they kidnapped Abdul Rehman’s wife, Shahzadi, 25, and their children Aisha and Abdul Qayoom.

On a complaint of Abdul Rehman, the Thari Mir Wah police registered a case against 13 people, including Jamal Din, Sachal, Ameer Din, Allah Dino and Majeed Ahmad Dasti.

SHOT DEAD: A man was shot dead by some people over an old enmity in the Himmath Ali Jakhrani village, near Garhi Khairo on Sunday night.

Hussain Bux Dasti, 28, was going home when he was killed.

Tawakkal Ali Dasti, uncle of the deceased, lodged an FIR against Imam Din, Khayali Khan, Shakar Khan and three other people.

The body was handed over to relatives after post-mortem.

The incident is said to be the result of an old enmity between two groups of the Dasti clan.

ACCIDENT: A man, Aijaz Hussain, 23, died in a local hospital after he was injured when his motorcycle dashed into a camel-cart on a link road near Kot Lalu, Khairpur, on Sunday night.

KILLED: A boy was killed when the roof of a house collapsed in the Sahib Khan Khoso village near Moro on Sunday night.

Nizamuddin Khoso, 10, son of Channesar Khoso, was sleeping in the house while other inmates were out when the roof caved in, killing him.
