SIALKOT, March 27: Four members of a family were shot dead and a woman was injured seriously over an old enmity in Nawaadey village, Pasrur, early Monday morning.
It is learnt that 12 members of Habib alias Biba Butt group stormed into the house of his rival Sadiq Jat and shot dead his brothers Shabbir and Munir and Aslam and Shafaqat Ali. The injured woman, Shanila Sadiq, was admitted to the Pasrur THQ hospital in critical condition.
The killers fled from the scene by firing in the air which create panic in the area.
Police have removed the bodies to the THQ hospital for autopsy.
Sadiq is in Sialkot district jail at present.
The reason behind the incident is stated to be a land dispute. The enmity has so far claimed the lives of more than a dozen people from both sides.
Meanwhile, Pasrur DSP Wasim Akhtar told journalists that the police have arrested three of the alleged killers and conducting raids to arrest the remaining killers.
ROBBERS KILL TWO: Two people were shot dead and another was injured by robbers for offering resistance in Sambrial tehsil on Sunday night.
Robbers stormed into the house of trader Allah Rakha, 75, at Amreekpura locality and held his family at gunpoint. As the trader resisted their bid, they shot and killed him on the spot.
In the second incident, eight gunmen stormed into the house of landlord Nawaz in Mureedpura village near Bella. They held his family members at gunpoint and started collecting valuables. They panicked when the landlord put up resistance and opened fire. Nawaz died on the spot while his son Ehsanullah sustained serious injuries. The robbers escaped with booty worth around Rs500,000.
The injured was admitted to hospital in critical condition.
ROBBERY: Six robbers took away gold ornaments, cash, electronics and other valuables worth Rs1 million at gunpoint from the house of Raja Sarfraz here on Sunday night in Sahowala village, Sambrial.
The looted goods were part of the dowry of five daughters of Sarfraz.
The victim told police that the robbers remained in his house for five hours.
Sambrial police have registered a case.
