DERA MURAD JAMALI: A woman was brutally murdered and her alleged paramour injured by her husband in the name of honour in the Mangoli area of Nasirabad district on Thursday night, police said.
The incident took place in Goth Asghar where the man opened fire on his wife, killing her on the spot, they said. He also opened fire on one Ashiq Ali, leaving him seriously injured.
Police rushed to the scene of crime and shifted the body and the injured to district hospital Dera Murad Jamali.
“The matter is of honor killing,” senior police officer Mohammad Umar Awan said, adding that the suspect has been arrested.
