Savic joins Trabzonspor

ISTANBUL: Stefan Savic has left Atletico Madrid after nine years at the La Liga club and signed for Trabzonspor, the Turk­ish Super Lig club anno­unced on Friday.

Montenegro international Savic, 33, joined Atletico in 2015. The defender played nearly 300 matches across nine seasons and won the Spanish league title in 2021 as well as the Europa League and the Super Cup in 2018.

He now joins Trabzo­nspor, the 2022 league champions, on a three-year deal.
