The official spokesman for the Presidency, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, said that the Palestinian people and their leadership, represented by the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO), the sole legitimate representative of the Palestinian people, are the sole legitimate representatives entitled to determine the destiny of their nation and homeland, Wafa reports.
Abu Rudeineh affirmed, “There will be no legitimacy for anyone in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, or Jerusalem, neither the occupation nor anyone else, nor any legitimacy for any step on Palestinian land that was not accepted by our people and its leadership.”
He commented on leaked news that Washington was discussing plans for the future of the Gaza Strip with some parties, saying the move would not have any legitimacy and would not be accepted by the Palestinian people.
The Presidential spokesperson pointed out that the priority now is to stop the Israeli aggression and the massacres against the Palestinian people and not just talk about the day after the bombardment.
