VATICAN CITY, March 23: Pope Benedict XVI discussed Muslim-Christian relations with his cardinals on Thursday on a special day of reflection on key issues facing his Church on the eve of his first consistory since he took over the papacy a year ago.

Increasingly troubled relations with Islam was one of three key issues that Pope Benedict asked his ‘Princes of the Church’ to address, along with the problem of how to reconcile with breakaway traditional Catholics.
