OKARA, March 22: A man allegedly killed his addict brother here on Wednesday in Banianwala Karkhana locality. Reports said addict Muhammad Sadiq used to get money from his brother M Abid. On Tuesday night, both exchanged hot words and Abid started beating Sadiq, killing him on the spot.
Police have shifted the body to hospital for autopsy.
LOOTED: A salesman was deprived of thousands of rupees by two dacoits here on Wednesday.
Reports said Abdul Rashid along with his van driver Zafar Husain was on way home in Muzaffar Colony at 5/4L village when two motorcyclists intercepted the vehicle, looted Rs37,000 from him and injured him on resistance. The driver remained unhurt.
Sadar police are investigating.
