‘New system running successfully’

BAHAWALPUR, Oct 16: The district government system is running successfully.

This was stated by Punjab Governor Muhammad Safdar while speaking to notables of the area at the Circuit House here on Tuesday.

He said the Trading Corporation of Pakistan would purchase one million bales of cotton from growers.

He urged people to extend full support to the government in the present critical situation.

The governor also announced a one-kanal plot and Rs200,000 for the local press club, besides upgradation of the Government Girls College, Ahmadpur East.

In the afternoon, the governor inaugurated a road in Yazman city. The road has been constructed under the Khushal Pakistan Programme at a cost of Rs8 million.—APP
