Published March 22, 2006

ISLAMABAD, March 21: Pakistan and Bosnia-Herzegovina on Tuesday agreed on broad parameters of the Air Services Agreement (ASA) between the two countries, a statement issued after the initial round of talks here said. The aviation authorities of the two countries met at the ministry of defence to discuss and finalise a bilateral agreement for air service operations.

Second round of the bilateral talks between the two countries would be held on Wednesday and it is anticipated that the ASA would be finalised and a memorandum of understanding (MoU) would be signed.

This would permit both the countries to commence flight operations to each other’s territory.

The Bosnian delegation was led by Delal Hasecic, deputy director general ministry of communications and transport, whereas Maj-Gen (retd) Mohammad Ashraf Chaudhry, additional secretary ministry of defence, headed Pakistani delegation at the talks.—Staff Reporter
