LAHORE: The Pakistan Institute of Education (PIE) has announced the results of the National Achievement Test (NAT) 2023 for Punjab.
The results were revealed at a ceremony, attended by PIE Director General Dr Shahid Soroya, and other education officials.
According to the results, over 7,000 students from 380 public schools in Punjab participated in the NAT 2023. The findings show a mixed performance, with students exceling in Urdu and English but struggling in maths and science. Girls outperformed boys in all subjects, and rural students performed better in maths than their urban counterparts.
Dr Soroya data-driven decision making is very important for education reform. He said he was optimistic about the partnership between PIE and the School Education Department, aiming to create a better assessment system and improve educational outcomes.
The results highlight areas for improvement, and stakeholders are urged to work together to address challenges and achieve the goal of at least 80 per cent student proficiency in future assessments.
