Phony NAB official arrested

ISLAMABAD, March 17: The vigilance wing of the National Accountability Bureau Islamabad has arrested a man for impersonating as a bureau official. According to a press release issued here on Friday, the accused, Ghulam Yaseen, a resident of Layyah, had been under surveillance for three months. He was arrested after solid evidence was obtained against him.

He used to issue fake letters on behalf of NAB to different ministries/departments for postings and transfers, the press release said. The accused, a UDC in MS Wing Establishment Division Islamabad, was produced before Accountability Court, Rawalpindi, for custody, and the court granted 12 days remand till March 28, the press release added. — APP
