PESHAWAR: Dr Sher Zaman Khan has been appointed director of Hayatabad Medical Complex, Peshawar. He assumed charge of hospital director on Saturday, a press release said.

He was made director after Dr Shehzad Faisal completed his five year tenure as HD.

Dr Sher Zaman has been working as director administration at the HMC for the past few years and has vast experience in the health sector. The Board of Governors (BoG) of the HMC recommended his name for the slot.

HMC’s medical director Prof Shehzad Akbar Khan said his elevation to the position of HD was aimed at utilising his experience for the development of hospital and better patient care.

He hoped that the new HD will use his administrative skills to further improve the performance of the hospital and services standard.
