SAHIWAL, March 15: A man killed his daughter and injured her alleged paramour at Chak 65/4-R on Tuesday night. Reports said Khalida Parveen was allegedly found in compromising position with one Shahzad Ahmed in a room when her father Manzoor Ahmed gunned down her, besides injuring her paramour. Manzoor also shot at Abdul Razaq, the brother of Shahzad, when he reached the spot.

Shahazad and Razaq were admitted to the DHQ hospital in a critical condition. Noorshah police have registered the case with no arrest.

DACOITY: A gang of four dacoits looted a farmer’s house at Chak 78/9-L on Tuesday night.

The outlaws decamped with Rs60,000 cash, ornaments worth Rs0.2 million and a motorcycle (SIN-3378).

Reports said the dacoits entered the house at midnight and after collecting the valuables and cash on gunpoint fled away firing in the air. Yosafwala police have registered the case.

REMOVED: MMA’s district president Sheikh Shahid Hamid was removed from his office on Wednesday. Sheikh Saeed Ahmed has been nominated as the acting president of the district.

The decisions were taken by a two-member MMA committee comprising Pir Ijaz Hashmi and Dr Azhar Iqbal Hassan after looking into the differences in the local organisation of the party.
