KARACHI, March 15: The Municipal Administration of Shah Faisal Town taking strict notice of the supply of contaminated water has directed the KWSB officials to ensure provision of clean tap water.

The Town Nazim, Muhammad Imran, took the notice on complaints of local people regarding mixing of contaminated water with tap water, said a statement on Wednesday.

The town nazim directed KWSB officials to ensure supply of clean drinking water to the entire town.

He said that improvement of water supply and sewerage networks was among his first and foremost priorities, adding that several mega projects were under way with the same objective.

He said the mixture of polluted water with drinking water was the outcome of illegal water and sewerage connections, which he said were ultimately damaging lines.—APP
