Addressing the Committee Mr Gurmani said: “We do not want mere plebiscite in Kashmir. We stand for free and impartial plebiscite and any measure which will facilitate [this] shall have our wholehearted support … . If … any attempt is made to thwart a free and unfettered expression of will of the people of Kashmir we shall resist it … .
“… Pakistan [has] always stood for a peaceful solution of the Kashmir problem; and the only peaceful solution of this problem lies in a free and impartial plebiscite.”
