LAHORE: While the federal government-appointed reconciliation committee, which was formed to resolve the dispute between two rival groups of the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF), is yet to announce its decision to end their tussle, one of the groups headed by Shehla Raza has summoned its Congress meeting in Rawalpindi on Thursday.

According to a press release issued by the group, the 56th Congress, the first of 2023-24, will be held to discuss the affairs related to the constitution as well as finance.

All the past meetings of the Congress were extra meetings while no Congress meeting was held during the last couple of years. It should be held once in a year.

The second group headed by Tariq Hussain Bugti is in Malaysia presently with the national team, which is competing in the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup.

Rana Mashhood Khan, the head of the reconciliation committee, held detailed meetings with the two groups but the committee’s decision on the dispute is still pending.
