TOBA TEK SINGH: Parts of the body of a missing young man from Jhang’s Buddhaywala locality were found in a nullah on Tuesday night.

Sources said deceased Amer Ali Gujjar went missing on the night of May 1 and Jhang’s Kotwali police had registered a first information report on May 4 when his parents failed to find him.

Further investigation led to the arrest of his friend, an 18-year-old barber Zubair.

During interrogation, Zubair confessed to slaughtering Gujjar in his own house located in Muhalla Hasnana on the night of May 1. He confessed to disposing of pieces of the body at various locations, with the main parts being dumped in the nullah after being packed in a sack.

Zubair said he had consensual relationship with Gujjar who had also supported him financially in establishing his barber shop. Gujjar had borne most of the expenses for Zubair’s marriage, which had taken place a few months back.

Zubair said Gujjar wanted to develop relations with his wife. As a result, he devised a plan to kill Gujjar. The suspect said he sent his wife to her parents’ house, lured Gujjar to his home and killed him.
