ATHENS, March 14: A 50-year-old Pakistani cleric has been arrested in Greece in relation to a suspected manslaughter case, a police source said on Tuesday. Police detained the cleric under an international arrest warrant at the behest of the Pakistani authorities, according to the source.

The Pakistan embassy in Athens could not immediately comment on the case.

The cleric has been detained at Athens International Airport since March 11.

The cleric arrived in Greece from London in order to conduct religious services for the local Pakistani community, the reports said.—AFP
