ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (Iesco) has secured 9,176 safety hazard points with an expenditure of Rs1.68 billion during last two years.

This was stated by the Chief Engineer Operations Iesco Mohammad Aslam Khan while paying tribute to Iesco line staff.

He said the company was proud of tireless efforts of staff who was ensuring power continuity and a quick redressal of electricity issues.

In a statement he emphasised the need for using safety equipment and precautions during work on line. He directed the line staff to use all safety gadgets and safety SOPs must be followed to avoid unpleasant incident while working on line.

He also directed the field offices to initiate departmental action against those found neglecting safety SOPs.
