KARACHI: Encroachments removed

KARACHI, March 14: More than 200 encroachments including pushcarts, chicken cages, cabins and chairs were removed from various parts of Jamshed Town under the supervision of the Town Officer Municipal Regulation, Hafiz Jamal.

The operation was carried out in Mehmoodabad, Manzoor Colony, Azam Town, Azam Basti, Karachi Administration Society, Kashmir Colony, and Akhtar Colony.

Landhi: The Town Municipal Administration Landhi razed more than 1,000 encroachments from different areas of the town on Tuesday.

According to a statement, the operation against encroachments started from the area behind the TPO’s office, where policemen had occupied the place illegally.

More than 500 huts were razed near the Korangi Medical Centre, while the football ground was also cleared of 100 huts.

Nazim Landhi Town Mohammed Ismail Qureshi monitored the operation along with the TMO and other officials.—PPI
