MIRPURKHAS: Two pedestrians died when a speeding ambulance ran over them at Sultanabad bus stop in Tando Allahyar here on Tuesday.

Sources said that Asghar Wighyo and Mohammad Akram, residents of Jhando Mari village, sustained fatal wounds and died on the spot after being crushed by the 1122 ambulance.

Police shifted the dead to Tando Allahyar Civil Hospital where doctors carried out post mortem on the bodies and handed them over to heirs.

Police detained the ambulance driver and impounded the ambulance. However, no case was lodged yet.
