PESHAWAR: A fire erupted in a building of the Civil Secretariat here on Sunday, officials said. They added that the rescuers managed to douse the flames.

The officials said that the provincial administration department had ordered an inquiry into the fire incident. They added that a six-member committee headed by special secretary home had been formed by the administration department to probe the incident.

The officials said that the fire engulfed the entire floor. However, firefighters managed to control the blaze in less than 25 minutes. The officials said that fire broke out in an office used by the agriculture department.
