SAHIWAL, March 12: As many as 30 leaders and workers, including four MNAs, have been declared proclaimed offenders for delivering speeches in a protest rally at Jogi Chowk on May 13, 2005.

Those declared proclaimed offenders are MMA secretary-general and MNA Maulana Fazlur Rahman, MMA’s Punjab president Liaquat Baloch, MNA Maulana Gul Rahman, MNA Maulana Abul Khair, banned Islami Tehrik’s Punjab president Maulana Abdul Jaleel Naqvi, Jamaat Ahle Hadith’s Punjab president Maulana Abdul Rashid, MMA’s Sahiwal district president Shaikh Shahid Hamid, JI’s district amir Dr Anwarul Haq, JUI’s district president Mufti Mohammad Usman, Qari Mohammad Tahir, Maulana Abdul Razaaq Mujahid, Maulana Kaleemullah Rashidi, Mirza Mohammad Saleem, Sajad Nasir, Dr Abdul Qadeer Lashari, Maulana Ahmad Yar Siddiqui, Iftikhar Husain Naqvi, Maulana Ghulam Husain, Iqbal Ahmad Wajid, Abdul Fateh, Qari Saeed Ibn Shaheed, Rana Zahid Farooq, Tayyab Baloch, Maulana Munawwar Ali Khan, Waqaar Raza, Chaudhry Ikramul Haq, Dr Tahir Siraj, Advocate Taj Mohammad, Prof Sajid Mir and Chaudhry Shaheed Ahmad.

GIRL RECOVERED: A bailiff appointed by the district and sessions court recovered a girl from the basement of a house in Chak 90/9-L on Sunday.

Reports said Irum Yasmeen contracted love marriage with Kashif. But her family which opposed the marriage locked her.

The court ordered the Grain Market police to recover the girl, but they failed to do so owing to the influence of the family. On this, the district and sessions judge appointed a bailiff who recovered the girl and presented her before the court which allowed her to go with her husband.
