HYDERABAD, March 11: Protest demonstrations and hunger strike by JSQM activists continued on the third day on Saturday against arrest of the general secretary of the party, Dr Safdar Sarki.

JSQM chairman Basheer Qureshi had given a call for protests and hunger strikes for three days in Sindh. In Hyderabad, JSQM activists observed a hunger strike outside the press club.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Zulfiqar Panhwar and Aakash Mallah said that the followers of G.M. Syed despite repressive measures by the rulers would not deviate from their mission.

They demanded that Dr Sarki be released.

KHAIRPUR: JSQM activists continued token hunger strike on the court road here on Saturday in protest against detention Dr Safdar Sarki.

Amjad Mahessar and Abdul Rehman Jatoi led the protesters.

They set up a hunger strike camp on the court road.

They demanded immediate release of Mr Sarki and withdrawal of cases against him.

NAWABSHAH: Activists of the Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz staged a demonstration outside the press club in protest against arrest of Dr Safdar Sarki and Kehar Ansari.

Led by Hashim Leghari and Riaz Pathan, the protesters raised slogans for the release of Mr Sarki and Mr Ansari.
