KARACHI: JWP leader picked up

KARACHI, March 10: Vice President of the Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) was picked up by five persons in Lyari on Friday morning. Family and friends of Saleem Baloch told Dawn that he had gone to a newspaper stall in Kalakot where two cars pulled up and picked him away.

“We went to the Kalakot police station to lodged an FIR, but the police refused to register the FIR, family of Saleem Baloch said.

ACCIDNET: A young man died in a road accident in Orangi Town on Friday.

Police said that the victim was identified as Mohammad Shafiq, who fell from a speeding passenger coach near Qatar Hospital.

He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
