TAXILA: Four robbers shot and injured a man for putting up resistance during a robbery in Bodo area within the limits of Taxila police station.

Owais Javaid reported to the police that he reached a local graveyard on his motorcycle when four robbers intercepted him and tried to snatch his motorcycle and valuables.

As he put up resistance, one of the robbers fired at him, and the bullet hit his leg.

The robbers then fled from the scene.

Upon hearing the gunshots, locals reached the scene and followed the fleeing robbers, and overpowered them. Subsequently, they were handed over to the police after being trashed.

Meanwhile, four robbers on motorcycles deprived three friends of cash and valuables in Gulshan Colony area within the limits of Wah Cantonment police station.

Bilal Haider said that he and his friends Israr and Anas were on their way to the mosque when the robbers stopped them, and then snatched cash and mobile phones from them before escaping.

In another incident, thieves stole solar plates worth Rs800,000 from the farmhouse of Bakht Rawan in the Gango Jumma area within the premises of the Taxila police station.

Separately, Zahidur Rehman reported to the police that he had gone to a mosque to offer prayers. On returning, he found his motorcycle stolen.
