BAHAWALPUR: The Hasilpur Saddar police claimed on Tuesday to have arrested two suspected killers of a man belonging to Ahmadiyya community of village 84/Fateh.

Reports said police with the help of modern technology traced and arrested two suspected killers Adeel and Zain of Taahir Iqbal.

According to the police spokesperson, Taahir Iqbal was allegedly murdered a few days ago by unidentified men who had managed to flee.

ACCIDENTS: Three people were killed and four others, including two women, were injured in road accidents in the district on Tuesday.

In the first accident, Abdul Samad and an unidentified man were killed while Ismail and Shabeer suffered serious injuries when a dumper collided with a tractor-trolley at 12-Mor Yazman road. The bodies and the injured were shifted to Bahawal Victoria Hospital. Police have arrested the tractor driver.

In the second incident, motorcyclist Ali Hamza (20) was killed while his two pillion rider aunts Ruksana BIbi (35) and Safia Bibi (40) suffered serious injuries when their motorcycle was hit by an excavator working on a road at village 88/DB near Yazman, about 40 kms from here. The body and the injured were shifted o THQ hospital Yazman while police reached the scene and arrested the excavator driver.
