RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Red Crescent (PRC) Hospital administration has asked Holy Family Hospital administration to vacate its building and clear utility bills of more than Rs600,000 from November 2023 to January 2024.

In a letter to Medical Superintendent of Holy Family Hospital, the PRC Rawalpindi Chapter secretary Dr Anser Ishaq said the PRC hospital had provided space to Holy Family Hospital to cater to dengue patients during its renovation work. Since the renovation work has almost been completed, the HFH should vacate the space and clear all utility bills of Rs600,000, the letter said.

“As the renovation work of HFH has almost been complete so it should shift its dengue ward to its own building and clear dues of PRC hospital as soon as possible,” he said.

He said in light of this change, we have encountered certain challenges with regard to settling utility bills from the Red Crescent District Branch Rawalpindi’s account.

As of now, he said that from November 2023 to January 2024, an electricity bill totaling Rs646,193 has been paid, with an outstanding amount of Rs456,176 is still pending. “I seek your understanding and support in this matter and anticipate your prompt approval for the clearance of electricity bill,” he said.

Furthermore, he said despite the fact the dengue season has concluded, the dengue ward is still under your utilization.

Above all, the space was granted by the DRCB committee members only for a period ofone-month, but it was still under HFH use even after three months, he said.

He requested to remove equipment or personal items and vacate the space within the next five days.

“This notice serves as the final reminder, and we will not be held responsible for any loss incurred after this period. We reserve the right to reclaim and utilise the premises immediately upon the expiry of this notice,” he said.
