DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur on Tuesday said that he did not believe in the politics of revenge.

Talking to various delegations during his visit to Paharpur tehsil of the district, he said that provision of maximum relief to poor was among top priorities of his government. He said that provincial government would give Rs10,000 each to 850,000 deserving families under Ramazan relief package across the province.

Mr Gandapur said that uniform development and welfare schemes would be initiated across the province to benefit people under a comprehensive strategy.

He said that maintenance of law and order in the province and protection of lives and property of people were top priorities of his government. He added that effective measures would be taken for the purpose as development and prosperity of any area were linked with peace.

The chief minister said that health card scheme was restored while shelter homes were also reopened to provide immediate relief to people during the holy month of Ramazan. He said that government would continue to provide relief to people in a better manner in the coming days.

He said that education and health were among the important sectors. He said that immediate steps would be taken to promote education without waiting for the construction of new buildings of institutions. He added that public sector hospitals would be strengthened to provide quality treatment to people so that they did not need to visit private health facilities.

Mr Gandapur said that minerals, tourism, industry, energy and other sectors would be developed to make the province self-sufficient and create income-generating opportunities. He said that concrete measures would also be taken to provide employment opportunities to youth.

He said that women would be given employment at home while modern skills would be imparted to youth. He added that self-employment would be promoted by developing agriculture and livestock sectors in the province.

The chief minister urged youth and PTI activists to work as a team to ensure implementation of government’s policies and reforms. He said that they should monitor quality of work on development projects and raise voice against corruption.

Later, he also visited an orphanage in Sanghar area and mingled with the children residing there. He also gave cash prizes to children and reviewed facilities at the orphanage.
