PESHAWAR, March 8: Minister of State for Information Anisa Zaib Tahirkheli has criticized the allegations of horse- trading in Senate elections, levelled by members of the opposition alliance, says a press release on Wednesday.

The PPP Sherpao-PML alliance’s success in the Frontier was a proof of peoples’ trust in President Musharraf’s policies, she said. The voters used their political will in a democratic way and voted for deserving candidates, she added.

The forces, who wanted to silence the freedom of expression of politically sovereign people, had paid a big price for it, she said. She said that the ruling alliance had already got a clear majority over the opposition alliance in Senate elections and they were sure of their success, she added
