PESHAWAR: Federal Investigation Agency claimed to have arrested leader of a gang allegedly involved in sexually abusing children and recording their videos.

A statement issued by FIA said that the agency’s cybercrime wing conducted a raid in the provincial capital on Thursday and arrested leader of a gang involved in sexually abusing children, adding that the group members would record obscene videos of minors at gunpoint.

“The accused persons would threaten sharing the recorded videos publicly,” the statement said, adding that the agency was conducting raids to arrest the remaining persons of the gang.

Meanwhile, FIA’s commercial banking circle arrested two persons and recovered local and international currency from their possession.

A statement issued by FIA said that the FIA team conducted a raid in Chowk Yadgar and Ashraf Road areas of the provincial capital on Thursday and arrested two persons including Mohammad Haris and Haroon Zaman allegedly involved in hundi-hawala business.
