SOCIAL WORKER DIES: Advocate Baba Ghulam Rasool, the caretaker of the shrine of the late spiritual personality Baba Abdul Aziz Mast, was laid to rest on Tuesday on the premises of his father’s shrine in Raja Park locality on Gojra Road.

The funeral prayers, attended by more than 10,000 people, marked the farewell to the 85-year-old senior lawyer and member of the Supreme Court Bar Association.

Baba was known for his expert law practice, and he assumed the role of caretaker of the shrine two decades ago after his father’s passing.

Despite providing thrice-daily meals to hundreds of devotees, this shrine stood out as a unique place, with no “galla” (collection box) kept for collecting funds for the langar.
