MUZAFFARGARH: Layyah city police claimed on Wednesday to have arrested three suspects who allegedly gang raped a head nurse on Tuesday night.

The complainant said she and her family were asleep when three robbers barged into their residence in the Doctor Colony. After robbing her of Rs30,000 cash, an iPad, and jewellery at gunpoint, they sexually assaulted her and escaped.

After receipt of complaint, the police registered a case against unknown suspects under section 376iii, 392, 375A of Pakistan Penal Code.

A press release said police using modern technology took into custody three suspects who confessed to the crime. The medical report also confirmed the assault. The suspects have been nominated in the release issued by the police.
