PTI leader Asad Qaiser has said that he will suggest his party members to discuss devolving the concept of “caretaker governments”.

Speaking on Geo News programme Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada kay saath, he was of the view that the system needs to be changed first.

“I will raise this with my party that a caretaker government should not exist altogether,” he said, highlighting that the interim Punjab government was in power for one and a half years even though the constitutional limit is 90 days.

Qaiser maintained that PTI would get their mandate back and his party did not want confrontation with anyone.

“We want our legal right,” he concluded. “It should be given back to us according to Form 45.”
