Caretaker Information Minister Murtaza Solangi has said that political support for reconciliation and mutual respect was the need of the hour to deal with the challenges faced by Pakistan, state-run Radio Pakistan reports.

In an interview with PTV, he said political parties should demonstrate immense responsibility in bringing political and economic stability to the country.

Solangi urged the newly elected lawmakers to work collectively for the betterment of the country irrespective of their political affiliation.

He added that the caretaker government had fulfilled its constitutional responsibility and it was not the elected government’s job to bring reforms to the institutions.
