SUKKUR, March 5: Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz vice-chairman Syed Mujtaba Shah has warned that the party will be forced to give up its policy of peaceful protests if its secretary-general Safdar Sarki is not released within two days.

He was speaking at a press conference at the press club here on Sunday.

He said whereabouts of Mr Sarki, picked up by personnel of intelligence agencies in Gulistan-i-Jauhar, Karachi, on Feb 24, were not known.

Mr Shah claimed that kidnapping, torturing and arresting of Sindhi youths had become a routine.

He asked party workers not to be disheartened and continue their protest against the alleged atrocities of the government.

Workers of the party also held a demonstration in protest against the influx of outsiders into Sindh.
