HYDERABAD, March 4: A meeting of district government officials presided over by District Nazim of Jamshoro, Malik Asad Sikandar, reviewed water supply, sewerage schemes and other mega projects on Saturday.

The projects included an overhead bridge at telegraphy railway crossing, drainage line in Bulhari union council, roads from super highway to Thana Bula Khan, a public school and a green belt from Liaquat Road, Kotri to Khanpur bypass.

The nazim directed to speed up pace of work on all the schemes and prepare a master plan for the district.

He formed a committee, with EDO finance as its head to prepare a revised budget for the district for three months.

He informed the meeting that Jamshoro was not receiving the allocated budget from Dadu district and that he had apprised the Sindh government of the issue.

DCO Dr Khawar Jameel, District Naib Nazim Abdul Hameed Buledi and several EDOs also attended the meeting, which also decided to hand over health, sanitation and water supply departments of all the four talukas to the district government.
