The second incident occurred in Dhado Basra on the outskirts of Daska, where nine-year-old Mohammad Kashif and 11-year-old Rashid Ali were flying kites on their house’s roof. They came into contact with live wires overhead. To rescue the children from the electric wires, 20-year-old Muhammad Muneeb suffered electrocution. Kashif and Rashid are now in critical condition at the Gujranwala District Headquarters.

Eyewitness Malik Muhammad Shahid said the ongoing prevalence of kite flying in Daska City and its environs was the failure of the police to curb the activity. The police attributed Muneeb’s death to electrocution from the live wires.
