KARACHI: The body of an eight-year-old boy was found in Federal B. Area near his home on Wednesday afternoon, police said.

They said that it was not clear under what circumstances the boy, identified as Aban Mazhar, had left his home.

The body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

Police Surgeon Summaiya Syed said the boy had suffered a ‘cut-throat injury on the neck and bruises on hands”. However, she said the family did not allow doctors to conduct a post-mortem examination.

The Yousuf Plaza SHO said that the police were investigating the case from all possible angles.
